फिर अर्घ्य, पाद्य, आचमन आदि करते हुये पञ्चोपचार पूजन करें। संकल्प करते समय ही यह कहें कि मैं अमुक कार्य की सिद्धि के लिए श्री हनुमान चालीसा की शतावृत्ति कर रहा हूं।
अब, अपने समक्ष श्री हनुमान जी को बैठा हुआ जान कर, श्री हनुमान चालीसा का पाठ करना प्रारम्भ करें और १०८ बार की आवृत्ति पूर्ण होने तक रूकें नहीं। ध्यान रखें कि मन इधर उधर न भटके और बीच में उठना न पड़ जाय।
पाठ को छोड़कर, बीच में लघुशंका इत्यादि के लिए उठ जाने से साधना खण्डित हो जाएगी और आपका संकल्प टूट जाएगा। पाठ करने में कोई जल्दबाजी भी न करें। स्थिर बुद्धि से, श्रद्धापूर्वक की गई यह साधना शत-प्रतिशत फलदाई होती है।
यह साधना, सर्वाधिक निरापद साधना है। कुछ त्रुटियां हो जाने पर भी विपरीत फल नहीं मिलता। हाॅ, पूर्ण फल नहीं मिलेगा।

दूसरी साधना है जो चालीस दिनों की है। इसमें भी सारी प्रक्रियाएं पूर्ववर्ती साधना की तरह ही रहेंगी। अन्तर केवल इतना होगा कि यह ४० दिनों तक चलेगी और प्रतिदिन ११ आवृत्तियां होंगी।
तीसरी साधना में हनुमान चालीसा के एक एक दोहे पर एक एक आहुतियां देनी पड़ती हैं। इस साधना में दोहे का उच्चारण करते हुये हवन करना होता है और इस प्रकार ११,२१ या ४० दिनों की साधना होती है। आहुति के द्रव्य का निर्धारण, आपकी मनोकामना के आधार पर किया जाता है।
चौथी साधना को , बहती हुई नदी के, कमर पर्यन्त, जल में खड़े होकर किया जाता है। यह साधना तब तक की जाती है जब तक ईष्ट की पूर्ति न हो जाय। कार्य पूर्ण होने पर उसी नदी के तट पर हवन करके, ब्राह्मणों को भोजन कराते हुये, दक्षिणा आदि से सन्तुष्ट करना चाहिए और हनुमानजी के मन्दिर में जाकर दर्शन-पूजन करते हुए, उनकी अनवरत कृपा के लिए प्रर्थना करनी चाहिए। नदी न मिले तो हनुमान जी के मन्दिर में भी यह साधना की जा सकती है।
इन चारों साधनाओं का परिणाम सदैव ही अच्छा मिलता है और ये निरापद भी हैं।

After cleansing the mirror of my mind with the pollen dust of holy Guru’s Lotus feet. I Profess the pure, untainted glory of Shri Raghuvar which bestows the four-fold fruits of life. (Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha) Fully aware of the deficiency of my intelligence, I concentrate my attention on Pavan Kumar and humbly ask for strength, intelligence and true knowledge to relieve me of all blemishes, causing pain.

Your physique is beautiful golden coloured and your attire is pretty. You wear ear rings and have long curly hair.
Hath bajra aur dhvaja biraje ।
Kaandhe munj janeu saje ॥
You carry in your hand a lightening bolt along with a victory (kesari) flag and wear the sacred thread on your shoulder.
Sankar suvan Kesari nandan ।
Tej pratap maha jag bandan ॥
As a descendant of Lord Sankar, you are a comfort and pride of Shri Kesari. With the lustre of your Vast Sway, you are propitiated all over the universe.

With over-whelming might you destroyed the Asuras (demons) and performed all tasks assigned to you by Shri Ram with great skill.
Laye sanjivan Lakhan jiyaye ।
Shri Raghuvir harashi ur laye ॥
You brought Sanjivani (A herb that revives life) and restored Lakshman back to life, Shri Raghuvir (Shri Ram) cheerfully embraced you with his heart full of joy.
Raghupati kinhi bahut badhaee ।
Tum mam priye Bharat-hi-sam bhai ॥
Shri Raghupati (Shri Ram) lustily extolled your excellence and said: “You are as dear to me as my own brother Bharat.”

Yug sahastra jojan par bhanu ।
